

Malaria poses a significant risk throughout the year in the Zambezi Valley, including Victoria Falls, and in areas below 1200 meters, particularly from November to June. However, the risk is negligible in Harare and Bulawayo. It is strongly recommended that visitors take malaria prophylactics and other necessary precautions. Wearing appropriate clothing and using mosquito repellent are essential measures to minimize mosquito bites.
Additionally, each hunter is advised to bring a small personal medical kit that includes preferred medications for common ailments such as headaches, colds, burns, and allergies.
